I am trying to find the listed death of my great grandmother, Jessie Hart nee Stevens.
She was born in 1865 in Somers Town, St. Pancras and married George Hart in 1889 but I cannot find any trace of her death.
Does anyone know of her or her family please?

Hi Gina

The nearest match I can find is this one:

1951
Jessie Hart
Aged 85
Islington
Greater London
5c 814

This gives a year of birth of 1866 which, given that her birthday could have been after her date of death that year, could be spot on.

Of course, it's possible that George died and she remarried in which case she would have died under a different surname.

Hi Mary

Thank you for this. Unfortunately I know that this is the wrong person as I have this death certificate already. My mother tells me that Jessie did not remarry but has no idea when she died. I think this may be a long search but thanks for your help.

Hi Gina

There doesn't appear to be another death in the London area which would fit from 1911 (when she is recorded in the census) to when she would have been well over 100 years old.

Did she definitely die in London or would it be worth checking any areas that her children had moved to?

Thanks Mary.
There is a slight possibility that Jessie died in Hastings but having searched Ancestry and Find My Past, I still have had no luck. But hey, ** on we go, I shall keep looking.
